Project Details.

The space is completely open but designed in an extremely functional way from the point of view of layout. The central block encloses the bathroom and walk-in closet and divides the living area, with a mezzanine kitchen, from the sleeping area without, however, separating them completely. High ceilings and equally high window frames allow all heights to be utilized while letting in plenty of natural light.

Simple forms and a basic white palette accommodate contemporary elements combined with vintage and modern accessories mainly from the 1950s. Warm materials such as wood are combined with metals and composite materials. The living room is a vintage living room. It features predominantly modern antique elements placed in the contemporary context and combined with modern-day artwork and design elements such as the brushed brass wall sconces in the shape of an industrial profile with a neon LED stick inside. Or like the pink painted metal coffee table with the typical beak handle. Or like the handmade Nordic-patterned rug knitted from recycled cotton rope.

The kitchen area is much less mid-century than the living area and remains rather on the contemporary Nordic style. The kitchen occupies the loft space and runs along the 2 L-shaped walls. On one side is the worktop, on the other the columns that house various appliances and storage units. The peninsula has a top with an induction cooktop and a dining table that ties the island to the wall. The table facing the brightest part is designed as both a dining table and a work table. The bedroom is composed of essential elements. Despite being sheltered it enjoys the large amount of light from the windows it faces.
