This project was created for a young Italian-French couple who, after years of living abroad, chose Milan as their city of choice. Their experiences have certainly also influenced their taste and idea of home: in fact, the apartment is located in a Milanese period building, whose floors are its strong point.
Hence the decision to preserve it along with the generous heights and plaster decorations. The light-toned entrance hall is characterized by the use of punctual hanging light elements that emphasize its height and focus on contrasts through black color and essential geometric form.
Passing through the apartment’s original doors, it is possible to reach the other rooms.
In the kitchen, since the existing flooring could not be preserved, a uniform, dark one was chosen, which is highlighted by the light walls and neutral kitchen tones.
The kitchen structure created by Arredo3 is essential, and the shelf above the countertop becomes a display space for the beautiful French ceramics hand-painted by the client’s mother.
