The Kitchen as the Heart of the Home

Where design, conviviality, and materials come together

The kitchen is much more than just a functional space: it is the true heart of the home, the place where daily routines, conversations, and moments of togetherness intertwine. At Archventil, we design it as a living, fluid, and sensory space, where design and conviviality come together in the materials. Every kitchen we create is born from a dialogue: with the space, with the light, and above all with the people who will live there.

We are pleased that this approach was also explored by Kitchen Environment , which showcased some of our projects, highlighting how the boundary between technology, architecture, and conviviality is becoming increasingly blurred, almost “invisible.”

Archventil House: The Kitchen as a Space for Gathering and Hospitality

Learn more about the Casa Archventil project →

In our workspace and research facility on Via Gian Battista Vico in Milan, the kitchen was designed as a gathering place. It is not just a functional space, but a convivial area where design and functionality interact with the surrounding architecture.

The textured surfaces, clean lines, and natural light make this space a meeting point between work and daily life, between hospitality and experimentation. Every detail—from warm materials to natural textures—is designed to create a sensory experience that reflects Archventil’s philosophy: the kitchen as a place for connection and representation.

Villa SNO: The Kitchen Overlooking the Landscape

Learn more about the Villa SNO project →

At Villa SNO, a historic residence on Lake Garda, the kitchen becomes a window onto the landscape.
The project reinterpreted the original spaces with contemporary elegance, placing natural light at the center of the design. The central island, crafted from stone and wood, complements the warm tones of the space, while the view of the lake enhances the sense of continuity between indoors and outdoors.

This kitchen is designed not only for cooking, but also for savoring the moment—a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, where a sense of togetherness blends with the tranquility of the space.

SL Apartment: Urban Living with a Sense of Community

Learn more about the SL Apartment project →

In the heart of Milan, the SL Apartment demonstrates how even the most compact spaces can convey great material and functional depth. The kitchen, bathed in dark, sophisticated tones, opens onto the living area in a fluid continuum that fosters conversation and conviviality.

The choice of rich materials and tactile surfaces conveys a contemporary elegance that blends design and comfort, in perfect harmony with the metropolitan lifestyle. Here, the kitchen is no longer separated from the rest of the home: it is a visual and emotional focal point, where every gesture becomes part of an everyday scene.

Design as a Shared Language

At Archventil, we design kitchens as systems integrated into the architecture, capable of combining technology and beauty, functionality and social interaction. Each project strikes a balance between aesthetics, comfort, and innovation, crafted with authentic materials and meticulous attention to detail. We believe that a sense of togetherness arises not only from the act of cooking, but also from the atmosphere a space creates.
